Duties include, but are not limited to:
Assign, review, train, and evaluate the work of lower-level employees.
Prepare schedules, seasonal payroll, and various clerical activities and responsibilities surrounding seasonal staff.
Monitor and oversee fee collection, money banks, and auditing.
Control parking access to and from park facilities during peak periods.
Register campers and boaters, issue permits.
Incumbent will also be called on to answer routine questions and handle complaints from park patrons.
Candidate must be able to explain park rules and regulations as well as process written information required to meet patron's needs.
Incumbent occasionally assists with groundskeeping and the cleaning of office and restrooms.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
There are no minimum qualifications per Civil Service.
OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
Must have the ability to follow written direction, as well as record and document required information.
Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and park patrons.
The incumbent must be physically able to perform medium to heavy manual labor.
Weekend/holiday work will be required.
